I found a solution to the sound problem that will save us from having to make certain lines unisex

Because of the female lines being different in some cases, the game searches for a female sound file. If it can't find this, it continues but in some cases this results in dialogs and quests not getting the needed triggers. To solve this for the next patch I'll make female versions of the sounds and subtitles of lines where this problem occurs (about 1000 lines). I gave it a test on the Arthur/Carson quest and it all worked properly like it should

The dialogs won't be changed because of this. It's only the subtitle files so you can continue to use the dialogs that you already have

In any case, kids, id like to release BETA 4 with bugs from BETA 1, 2 and 3 already fixed.

Im getting very annoyed by the fact that bugs from previous betas are not fixed and we're re-reporting them over and over instead of moving on...

Pala and Dufi, you think you can get fixes BEFORE we release BETA 4? Im very tired of reporting the same things over and over... if you can fix them, then there's no use. Some dialog fixes like tildes and proper translations wont do any harm!

As for the patch, I can have the sound stuff done by tomorrow evening I think so I'll be ready for a new patch then. But if we want to wait until certain things are fixed, that's what we'll do. But at some point you'll have to choose to release a new patch. Things that need fixing keep coming and coming, so if you want to wait for that to end, who knows when there will finally be a new patch again

The newspapers don't worry me at all. Fixed one, fixed all, and they don't crash the game in any way.

My first priority is to make a final interface, compatible 100% in any resolution that we play.

Same goes for PC. Try "Temperatura" again in beta4, because Droulak has no problem at all. And make a fresh install, please.

Because of that... tomorrow evening I will send to Theo my last progresses, to create a Beta4, without quest's crashes (the most important, it's my viewpoint). I hope Pala could send his material, as well.

I STILL have the "temperatur" problem, Duf... and i think i reported it for this beta? If i didnt, i forgot, but no, it STILL doesnt work. (i made like 40 fresh installs so far )

What its just annoying is to have more and more betas and see the problems not being fixed, i know you stay till 3 am... but its just... tiring...

But as said, "no pressure" uhm... kinda... you know i cant help it... i was born with the whip in my hands...

I say fresh Beta4 install. Maybe one broken dialog makes the "temperatura" thing no run. And coming from scratch, I mean... go out from your haven and go to the computer... by the back door of the Clinique. Don't talk to anybody and tell me.

If not I don't know what is...

I'm sure the "Press 1 to continue" matter will be fixed with the new beta...

There are things easy to fix, and things difficult to fix.

It's just annoying to have more and more betas and less and less time and more and more bugs... don't be as the forums people and be patient, whipping woman xDDDD Work as a team is to fit to the timing and the progresses of your slaves, not in reverse. We all have to do all that we can...

But keep on testing... you're an essential tester, you know... The best, I believe...

PS: I know it's tiring... then I suggest to make a testing break, 'til all the bugs are fixed. Then take out a Beta 4 and keep on testing..

It's imposible for me to fix text bugs beta 1, 2, 3 before 4 in short time. There are a lot to fix and locate and I don't know if I have time enough to do it. But I'll try.
Then you have to decide what to do... New patch with quest & sound solutions or to wait until fix previous beta's. Now I'm finishing bugs of beta 1 (pag 3)... Beta 2&3 are shorter. It's up to you. I'm doing as fast I can do it... besides thera are items&pop-up problems that are Duf task... Perhaps we can fix all them this weeked...

I'm not sure but I think where is temperatur bug... because when you enter in a subdirectory, Bloodline program puts PLAYER NAME@SUBDIRECTORY. If you have a long player name + a long subdirectory name, input doesn't fit

That's why problem not depends on how long subdirectory is but (name+subdirectory conjunt) So a possible solution is short PC names + short subdirectory menus

I will continue on my way if you don't say otherwise.

Pala: that was my 1st theory with the "temperatur" thing... (esto, para que seguimos en ingles si esto ya no es cosa de theo...)

Digo, era mi primera teoria, porque mi psj malk se llama Captn_Immort, (el nosfe tambien, pero esto, encontre un nick mucho mas chulo wmahahaha) y en el terminal queda como Captn_Im@noseque. Asique lo descarte, me supongo que en los nombres largos se acorta y punto... pero igual...

Habra que testearlo... uhm... pero Duf, en todo caso, no es mucho mas facil cortar por lo sano y dejar "temp" ? o "grados" ?
